Your gift gets us one step closer to making the outdoors accessible for all.
The Outdoor Journey Fund is dedicated to breaking down the financial barriers that prevent access to the outdoors. With your help, we can provide life-changing adventures that foster connection, confidence, and a love for nature—at little to no cost.
Outdoor Journey Fund

Your support enables nonprofit groups from across the Northeast access transformative outdoor experiences tailored to their needs.
Whether it’s comfortable lodging, equipment rentals, or guided adventures, we work closely with each group to ensure that these experiences are meaningful and accessible. In 2025, the Outdoor Journey Fund enabled AMC to sponsor 109 trips servicing 71 different groups and 1,896 individuals. Here are a few of their stories:
The Met East Bay School brought 16 students from Rhode Island to the Highland Center and Zealand Falls Hut, helping them see themselves as outdoor explorers and environmental stewards for the first time.
Azimuth Check Foundation, a veterans group from Londonderry, NH, brought nine healing heroes to Joe Dodge Lodge for a weekend of winter sports and connection.
PS 11 Programs brought 16 youth from New York City to AMC’s Corman Harriman Outdoor Center for their first overnight camping experience.
The Maine Association for New Americans introduced 18 new Mainers to the beauty of the Maine Woods during a meaningful visit to Medawisla Lodge & Cabins.
